Indian Art Collective & Leasing (IACL) is a platform dedicated to supporting contemporary artists while reimagining how art is experienced, accessed, and sustained.
Operating at the intersection of artistic practice, curation, and cultural infrastructure, IACL brings together artists, collectors, institutions, and organisations through a model that combines collection building, art leasing, advisory services, and collaborative initiatives. Our approach is rooted in the belief that art gains meaning through presence—within spaces, within communities, and within ongoing dialogue. By creating sustainable pathways between artists and audiences, IACL seeks to make contemporary art more visible, accessible, and integrated into everyday life.
At the heart of IACL is a singular purpose: to nurture exceptional emerging artistic talent while cultivating the next generation of discerning art collectors. We work closely with graduates from leading art schools and institutions across India, supporting artists during the critical early years of their professional journey. While many possess extraordinary creative potential, they often encounter limited access to markets, patronage, and professional networks. IACL provides a platform that offers visibility, mentorship, market access, and meaningful opportunities to build sustainable artistic practices.
Complementing this is the Young Collectors Programme, an initiative designed to introduce individuals, families, and emerging patrons to the practice of collecting contemporary art. Through thoughtfully curated acquisitions and guided engagement, participants begin building meaningful collections while developing an understanding of artistic excellence, provenance, and the enduring cultural and financial value of collecting.

A Continuing Legacy
Indian art history has repeatedly demonstrated the transformative role of artist collectives in shaping cultural movements and redefining artistic direction. The most significant example remains the Progressive Artists’ Group, formed in Bombay in 1947, whose members challenged artistic conventions and helped establish the foundations of modern Indian art through experimentation, collaboration, and a bold new visual language.
